Saves The Day - Sound The Alarm (Advance)

April 11 marked a new release from modern punk legends Saves The Day. The new album is entitled "Sound The Alarm" and is inspired by the events that followed the release of their last album, "In Reverie". Following "In Reverie", the band was dropped by DreamWorks after poor sales of the record and Saves The Day frontman Chris Conley became extremely anxious about the future of the band. In order to survive, the band built their own studio as a solution to the expensive recording process. Conley has channelled this anxiety into a sound that combines most previous Saves The Day releases but comes out as something completely new.

Moneen - The Red Tree

"The Red Tree" is the latest album from Canadian rockers Moneen. The band has a knack for writing both blistering, furious, energetic songs and epic ballads, sometimes combining the two (see the epic masterpiece "The Last Song I Will Ever Want To Sing"). "The Red Tree" sees Moneen refine their song writing, chanelling the energy into 'poppier' songs, with killer hooks that loose none of the intensity. This album will throw Moneen into the light in the modern punk scene.

I Am The Movie

"I Am The Movie" is the debut album from Minneapolis pop-punkers Motion City Soundtrack. The strength of this album lies in the lyrical prowess and vocal ability of frontman Justin Pierre. The use of synth's and keyboards are another element the make Motion City Soundtrack stand out from the rest of the pack.
